For no apparent reason, I have decided that I have a dislike for my readers and that I am going to dump you all in a ditch (a.k.a. abandon you forever and ever and ever).
Just kidding! :) I swear I haven't been avoiding you all on purpose. But life gets hectic. Especially third quarter, sophomore year, when all your professors decide to give barely bearable piles of homework all at once. That's basically how I felt my first week back. As my uncle once said of MIT, "Open mouth, insert fire hose." So, I'm going to try to give a concise update on what's been happening in the very chaotic past several weeks of my life. I'll probably stick with the most interesting.
So what has happened in the past six weeks?
1) My roommate has a boyfriend. Don't ask me how it happened, because I really don't know. One moment she was really good friends with a very nice young man and the next minute she was in a relationship with him. Well, not really. But in order to reassure you all, I will tell you that I highly approve of the match and that I am just going to place it all in God's hands. (I'm pretty darn sure He knows what He's doing.)
2) Two people that I have met and know via the internet are going out as well. As I am never am around them, I am unable to say anything except for what I have already said. (If that makes any sense.)
3) Another one of my friends asked a girl out and she said no, much to his bitter disappointment.(But that's another story and shall be told another time. In different words, that is.) Now the girl appears to be interested in someone else and he seems to be interested in her. So we shall see how all plays out in the end.
4) Enough of relationships. Not only do I not want to bore you, but there is no more matter on the subject that I am aware of. :)
5) I finished the rough draft of my script!!!! It's just over 114 pages and it's written as a feature film. I don't know about you, but I would call that an accomplishment. I wrote it in about two quarters time.
6) John Paul the Great Catholic University had it's First Annual Giuseppe Award Ceremony!!! (A.k.a. John Paul the Great Catholic University's first film festival.) Five films were submitted. There were paparazzi, fashionable gowns, sunglasses, red carpets, elegant refreshments, etc. Very snazzy, very classy, very fun, very amusing, and very entertaining. You can see the winner here.
Those are only some of the happenings of the past several weeks. (They are also the most interesting.) I hope and pray, Dear Readers, that I do not neglect you as sorely as I have the past few weeks. Although it grieves me greatly, I now have to depart from my dear laptop, but this does not sadden me as much as the thought of leaving you all behind.
As they say in Hebrew, "Shalom!"
"And there, by the grace of God, go I."
